Istanbul Tour
Amaze and enthral your students on a journey to Istanbul, where East meets west. On this trip you will spend four days in Istanbul. You will have the opportunity to the visit the Blue Mosque, visit Haga Sophia and spend a day at Topkapi Palace.
Day 1: Arrive in Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey Istanbul Airport. Meet with Global School Tours staff and transfer to your hotel. Check into hotel and rest and then explore the city and surrounding areas
Day 2: Walking Tour & Topkapi Palace
We will start the morning by enjoying a buffet breakfast at the hotel. We will begin a walking tour to Topkapi Palace, (closed on Mondays) the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque and Covered Bazaar. (Closed on Sundays). Here students will be able to use study guides and the knowledge of the local tour guide to learn about the fascinating history of Turkey. You and your students will be amazed to see the fascinating treasures at Topkapi Palace and pray at the famous Blue Mosque whilst learning about its history and construction.
Day 3: Kadikoy & The Grand Bazaar
Istanbul is the center of religion for centuries. After the ottoman period Islam throughout the city. We will visit the first mosque in Istanbul which was built in Kadikoy on the Asian side of the city, which was conquered bythe Ottoman Turks in 1353. The first mosque on the European side of Istanbul was built inside the Rumeli Castle in 1452. The first grand mosque which was built in the city proper is the Eyup Sultan Mosque (1458), while the first imperial mosque inside the city walls was the Fatih Mosque (1470) which was built on the site of the Church of the Holy Apostles, an important Byzantine church which was originally edificed in the time of Constantine the Great. Dinner then overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Airport. If your flight time is later in the evening Global School Tours will organise a morning / afternoon of activities before you head to the airport. Transfer to Airport for onward flight
